'Cheers' Actor George Wendt Dead at 76
Former Cheers star George Wendt died on Tuesday, May 20. He was 76. The actor, who is best known for playing Norm on the NBC sitcom, passed away in his home, his publicist Melissa Nathan confirmed. George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him. He will be missed forever, Nathan said in a statement via Variety. The family has requested privacy during this time.
