A fortnight ago, a psychologist gave me a life-changing diagnosis: obsessive compulsive disorder. Otherwise known as OCD, it's a serious mental health condition characterised by obsessive thoughts and compulsive actions. I wasn't shocked – it was something of a lightbulb moment. As a health reporter with a special interest in mental health, I'd had my suspicions. But it was also infuriating. Prior to this, I'd been told by doctors – since my early teens – that I suffered from anxiety.
