AFL star Noah Balta is charged with assault after late night brawl
Richmond Tigers AFL premiership star Noah Balta has been charged over an alleged off-season altercation which left a man with head lacerations. Police were called to a sports club in Mulwala, near the Victoria/NSW border, shortly after midnight on Monday morning. NSW Police confirmed a man was charged with one count of assault following an incident where a man was hospitalised. 'About 12.30am (on) Monday 30 December 2024, officers attached to Murray River Police District were called to a sports club in Mulwala, following reports of an assault,' a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has hosted Oleksandr Usyk as boxer returned home after beating Tyson Fury in their rematch to retain his heavyweight world titles. Usyk overcame Fury via a unanimous points decision in Saudi Arabia's capital city Riyadh last month. The Ukrainian had become the undisputed champion by just a single point in May when he claimed a split decision win over the Gypsy King. The rematch proved more clear-cut as all three judges scored the bout 116-112 in his favour.
